SHORT ROADER |
In my drive to play out as often as possible I put a show together on a friday night at a live music crib called staccato here in agams morgan and then the following day at the G spot in greenville, SC... I saw the place the last time I was down there playing the acoustic seen across the street... takin' the dude with ne on this trip, arguably the finest roadie in the business. All set to go, ready to play at staccato, ready to get back on the highway which I simply adore... I am addicted to the freedom, the new towns, people and new audiences; can't get enough and especially since I am able to chronicle the stuff and take notes and get new material... there is no source quite as raw and truly authentic as the road... |

| STACCATO |
...we get to staccato in time, a bit early, and that's just the way we like it... so we're all set up, ready to go and we try to do a sound check but we can't get the main house PA system working... the owner is on his way and the bartender is pretty clueless about it all... a few friends show, then a few more and pretty soon the place is packed but no PA... it's a bit disconcerting, but no worries. The monitors are working and that's all that really matters right now so we cramk up the amps and I do the set... with about 4 songs to go the owner finally shows and fixes the PA with a simple switch... so I get to do a few final songs with a good house PA and that sort of helps... it's par for the course... |
