GREENVILLE

We are making greaat time, and we pull into Greenville around 8am. It's a bit early so we park the car and head to the local java/coffee underground where we get some coffee and pick the fartherst sofa from the counter and we pass out... getting a bit ragged and my eyes are really painful so I think I am getting a little red eye and that is bad news, We pass out on the sofas until they throw us out and then we head for the park in the old section where I lay down and simply melt into the grass... and it's a bit chilly, too which ain't helpin'... so I head over to the g spot and it's too early so I stick a few posters in the door and know I need to change strings so we head to acafe in the old section and get some coffee and sit in the yeard and change strings all afternoon...

SHOELESS JOE

...after a few coffees we feel better, the strings are all changed and we realize we are sitting in the center of a cool monument... to Shoeless Joe Jackson. OK. we're impressed... we go up and read all the stuff, check it all out and it is, truly, very inspiring. Besides just being an amazing hitter, his big thing was getting into bed and eatting animal crackers and drinking pure corn whiskey... It's late now, so we grab another two hours of sleep at another coffee shop then we head over to the club... and it is so hot - the stage is big, the place fits 300 and they are expecting me and have all the posters up and it is just going to rock... so we unload and start setting up and I get a killer eye infection right there that is so painful I can't even see...
